Yugoslav Drama Theatre is pleased to announce it is teaming up with Mirko Ilić, one of the most important graphic designers, illustrators and creators in the area of applied art in the world today.

The visual concept for this season is already evident in the first two posters – for Einstein’s Dreams by Alan Lightman, directed by Slobodan Unkovski, scheduled to open on 15th October and for Mercy Seat by Neil LaBute, directed by Jana Maričić, scheduled to open in November.

After an extremely successful career as a comics artist as well as in design in Yugoslavia and Europe, Mirko Ilić has spent the last thirty years living and working in New York.  Thanks to his work for world renowned newspapers and magazines such as Time magazine  and The New York Times, the name of Mirko Ilić has become synonymous with world class graphic design and his works are now part of prestigious museum collections such as that of The Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) in New York.
