Renata Ulmanski

Graduated in 1947 from the Drama Studio of the National Theatre in Belgrade where she studied with Professor Mata Milošević. That same year she began performing at the National Theatre. In her rich and long acting career she has performed in a number of important theatres. In the period between 1949 – 1953 Renata worked at the Serbian National Theatre in Novi Sad and in 1953 she joined the Belgrade Drama Theatre. In 1968 she joined Atelje 212. Albeit officially retired since 1989 Renata continues to perform both in Atelje 212 and at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre. She has also appeared on television and film. She has received the Sterijino Pozorje award and two Niš film awards. She translates from German and many of her translations of plays have been successfully produced on stage. She is a member of the Association of Translators of Serbia.
