Branko Cvejić

Branko’s career is closely linked to Yugoslav Drama Theatre where he first trod the boards in 1969. During his long career he has appeared in a number of YDT productions: Lord Graham (Lady Windermere’s Fan), Frank (Mrs. Warren’s Profession), Petrunjelа (Dundo Mаroje), Stаnkovich (The High Seas), Nikolа (Nаhod Simeon), Perа Scribe (Cabinet Minister’s Wife), Blаgoje (Powder Keg)… He has also performed in other theatres such as Atelje 212 and Zvezdara Theatre both of which he helped establish. He is well known for his portrayal of Bane Bumbar in TV series Grlom u Jаgode as well as his other roles in various TV series.

During the mandate of Jovаn Ćirilov, Branko was appointed executive manager. In year 2000 he was placed in charge of ensuring the completion of construction works on the YDT building. General manager of YDT in the period between 2003 – 2011. Worked as producer/director in a number of independent projects and co-productions. Recipient of Best Theatre Manager award, Days of Sarajevo Award, Achievement in Theatre Award from Theatre City Budva.
