Svetozar Cvetković

Received his BA in Acting in 1980 from the Faculty of Dramatic Art in Belgrade where he studied under professor Ognjenka Milićević and soon after became a member of Atelje 212 where he also worked as general manager during the period between 1997 – 2009. Even though he has appeared in leading roles at Atelje 212 he has also worked with KPGT, the Slovene National Theatre in Maribor, Theatre City Budva and over the past few years he has also performed at the Yugoslav Drama Theatre.

Svetozar has appeared in over seventy feature films and around fifteen TV series and dramas. He is head of the Testament Film production company (filmsAwaking from the Dead, The Reject, How I Was Stolen by the Germans,The Tour). He is a member of the European Film Academy.

Svetozar was involved in organising and producing our theatre productions abroad – Canada, USA, Austria, Slovenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, United Kingdom and Switzerland. He has received a number of prizes and awards at theatre and film festivals both at home and abroad. He has won the Yugoslav Drama Theatre annual award and Miloš Žutić award for his portrayal of Richard Richter in Elijah’s Chair
