Branka Petrić

Graduated from the Theatre, Radio, Film and Television Academy in Belgrade. Became a permanent member of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre in 1960.

During her long and uninterrupted acting career she has appeared in a vast range of roles, from young girls in love, comedy heroines to mature and complex female characters. Branka appeared in The Birds, Spring’s Awakening (Mrs Bergmann, prof. Knüppeldick), Travelling Troupe Šopalović (Gina), War and Peace at Café Sneffle (Mathilde), The Balkan Spy (Danica), Sunset (Dvoira), The Stranger (Marie), The Terrace (Blanka), Molière – Another Life (Mariette Rival), The Pavilions (Granny Lyudmila). Recipient of YDT annual award, Sterijino Pozorje Award, Veljko Maričić award at the Marulić Days Festival in Split.

She has also appeared in several notable roles in Atelje 212 and Zvezdara Theatre.
