Miodrag Radovanović

Miodrag first trod the boards of the Yugoslav Drama Theatre in 1953 when he appeared in The Cherry Orchard. In 1955 he became a permanent member of YDT. He has appeared in over a hundred different roles and is one of our most prolific stage actors.

Notable roles in YDT productions include: Tiresias (Clean Hands), Jean (Miss Julie), Guildenstern (Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead), Harry (Saved), Mitch (A Streetcar Named Desire), Hatch (The Sea), Tarelkin (The Death of Tarelkin), George (Same Time Next Year), Walter (Front Page), Freud (Seances with Professor Freud), Mr Gabor, Pastor Kahlbauch, Sonnenstich, Rector, Dr. Prokrustes (Spring’s Awakening), Priest (Spiting the Nation), Ford (The Merry Wives of Windsor), Diaghilev (Nijinsky)… Recipient of YDT annual award.

Performed in nearly all Belgrade theatres. Worked both in film and television: Salaš u Malom ritu, Professor Kosta Vujić’s Hat, Pripovedanja Radoja Domanovića, Poslednja audijencija, End of the Obrenović Dynasty
